If you exclaimed, "yes!", to these questions Mountain Discovery Camp may be just the summer job you're looking for.

The Bogus Basin Mountain Discovery Camp program is now in its eighth year and aims to get kids outside, active, and learning about the wonders of nature in the Boise National Forest. Bogus Basin Mountain Recreation Area is seeking exceptionally passionate individuals to help engage hundreds of local youth in this critically important environmental education program. The Education Specialist will work alongside Mountain Discovery Camp directors to facilitate exceptional outdoor experiences for youth campers and university interns, as well as assist the directors with various program logistics and camp preparation. Individuals will develop outdoor leadership skills, teaching skills, and knowledge of local ecology and natural history. With your help local kids will spend their days studying mysterious animal tracks, exploring mountain ecology, learning important survival skills, hiking to the top of Mores Mountain, and making new friends. Last spring, Bogus Basin's Outdoor Learning programs- SnowSchool and Mountain Discovery Camp, were the proud recipients of Idaho Power's Powering Tomorrow Grants. It is thanks to such generous and invested community support from organizations, such as Idaho Power, that we can offer affordable, exciting outdoor experiences for the youth of the Treasure Valley.

For those that are interested in signing up a child (9-12 years old) for Mountain Discvoery Camp or a teen (12-16 years old) for Mountain Discovery Teen Camp, you can do so through Boise Parks and Recreation's Summer Activity Guide.
